Officers And Committees


J. Gerald Quirk, M.D., Ph.D is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who received his undergraduate degree from Manhattan College in New York and his post graduate degree from NY & Presbyterian Hospital–Columbia Campus in Maternal and Fetal Medicine. Dr. Quirk completed both his internship and residency programs at Columbia–Presbyterian Medical Center, NY and a Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Quirk specializes in high–risk pregnancies including diabetes in pregnancy. He is affiliated with St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson and University Hospital Stony Brook. Dr. Quirk holds numerous positions with local, state and national organizations and is a member of many specialty and sub–specialty professional societies.

Vice President

Peter A. Judge, M.D. is a practicing obstetrician in Brightwaters with South Bay OB/GYN, PC, Dr. Judge is also an attending physician at Good Samaritan and Southside Hospitals.

Dr. Judge received his Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College in 1978 and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1985. He completed his internship and residency programs at St. Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center in 1991. Dr. Judge is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1994, holds a Junior Fellowship in Gynecological Oncology at Sloan Kettering Medical Center in New York, and holds a Carbon Dioxide and Yag Laser Certification.

Dr. Judge is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Medical Society of the State of New York, Suffolk County Medical Society, and the Suffolk County OB/GYN Society.


Jacqueline A. Ammirata, MD, FACOG is an Attending in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital and Southside Hospital.

Dr. Ammirata graduated with honors in OB/GYN and with "Distinction in Research" from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Nassau County Medical Center and the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Ammirata is Board-certified and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists. She is also a member of the American Medical Association.

She is married and has two children and enjoys running and gourmet cooking. She is also conversant in Spanish and Italian.


James Stelling, M.D. is Medical and Laboratory Director at Reproductive Specialists of New York, as well as Director of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis Services, and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology & Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Dr. Stelling holds the position of Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Infertility at Stony Brook University Hospital, as well as Director of Gynecological Endocrinology at Good Samaritan Hospital.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, The Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists, The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The Endocrine Society, The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, The Suffolk Ob/Gyn Society, and The American Medical Association.
